VStats reads Vercel Web Analytics with a token you give it, and shows the numbers on your Mac. That is all it does. The app has no server of its own, no analytics and no account.
Your Vercel token
The token you paste is stored in the macOS Keychain on this Mac. It is sent only to api.vercel.com, to list your teams and projects and to count visitors and page views. Remove it from Settings at any time.
What it keeps on your Mac
The last numbers it fetched — project names, domains, visitor and page view counts — are saved in ~/Library/Application Support/VStats so the window opens without waiting. The token is not in that file. Removing the token removes the file.
Nothing else leaves your Mac
Apart from the requests to Vercel above, nothing is collected and nothing is sent anywhere.
Update checks go to GitHub
VStats checks for a new version once at launch. The check fetches one small file from GitHub Releases, so GitHub sees a request with your IP address, like any download. It carries nothing about your projects.
No analytics
There are no crash reports, no usage tracking, no device IDs and no third-party SDKs in the app.
About this website
vstats.kkweb.io, including this page, counts page views with Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and collects nothing that identifies you. What this page says about collecting nothing is about the app, not about these page view counts.
You can check all of this
VStats is open source under the MIT license. Everything on this page can be checked in the source code. If something looks wrong, open an issue.
Changes
If a future version handles data differently, this page is updated before that version ships.
